Grade 5 titanium

Grade 5, the alloy Ti-6Al-4V, adds aluminum and vanadium to titanium for strength and stiffness while keeping the low weight titanium is known for. At a density near 4.4 grams per cubic centimeter, it is far lighter than stainless steel, which is why a titanium system typically sheds a large share of the weight of the steel equivalent. 304 grade stainless steel

304 stainless is an austenitic chromium-nickel steel prized for corrosion resistance, weldability, and durability. It handles high exhaust temperatures comfortably and endures the constant heating and cooling an exhaust lives through without complaint. Its denser walls give a deeper, fuller note that many drivers prefer, and it costs less than titanium, delivering premium build quality at a more reachable price. It is the right choice on platforms where durability and a rich tone lead the brief.
